Aaron Hernandez, Percy Harvin headline early game NFL inactive lists

Two of the most versatile offensive weapons in the National Football League will be inactive on Sunday. A bye week was not enough time for New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez's ankle to get back to 100 percent and he will not dress for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.

Hernandez initially injured his ankle in Week 2 and missed three weeks before returning in a limited role in a Week 6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and a Week 7 win over the New York Jets. Hernandez caught 11 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown in those two games, but the ankle kept the 2011 Pro Bowler stateside as the Patriots scored a 45-7 win over the St. Louis Rams in London, England on Oct. 28.

As for Harvin, who ranks second in the NFL in combined yards with 1,347, he had been playing through a right hamstring injury before suffering a left ankle injury in last Sunday's 30-20 loss to the Seahawks. Harvin was held out of this week's practices before being listed as "doubtful" on the Vikings' final injury report of the week.
