Utah State wide receiver JoJo Natson was dismissed from the program for “violation of team rules,” head coach Matt Wells announced Sunday.

“We are extremely disappointed anytime we have to make a decision regarding the future of one of our student-athletes,” Wells said. “We will continue to support JoJo as he moved forward in his career.”

The 5-foot-7, 151-pound Natson was second on the team with 51 catches for 504 yards and two touchdowns and added 498 yards and three scores on the ground in 2014. He was also first in the Mountain West with an average of 11.7 yards per punt return and had two punt return touchdowns.

In three years with the program, Natson played in 39 games and made 19 starts. Overall, he caught 127 passes for 1,031 yards and five touchdowns and had 611 yards and six touchdowns rushing in his career.

Additionally, he is tied for first in school and Mountain West history with four career punt return touchdowns.

With Natson out of the picture, the Aggies, coming off a 10-4 record, still return two of their top four receivers from 2014, including Hunter Sharp and his team-leading 66 catches for 939 yards and seven scores. Senior Devonte Robinson (24, 226 yards, 2 TDs) also returns.
