Tweets from USC OL get weird while stuck in a hotel elevator

A group of USC offensive linemen found themselves stuck in an elevator Friday night following a dinner with their offensive line coach in Redondo Beach, California.

Offensive tackle Zach Banner and seven of his offensive-line friends decided to cram into an elevator that was weight-tested for 2,500.

Banner told ESPN the group probably exceeded that weight limit by about 700 pounds.

So it was no surprise that when the elevator started to descend from the fifth floor, it abruptly stopped suspended between the fifth and four floors.

What did Banner do? He decided to hilariously document the entire ordeal on Twitter.

The fire department did show up with drinks and snacks, but as the rescue effort dragged on and the temperature in the elevator began to rise, panic started to set in.

And then tears turned into a rap (as they often do).

Overall, the eight players who were stuck in the elevator for about an hour were ultimately freed.

Not gonna lie, these players handled a crowded and hot situation with humor and grace. Not a claustrophobic guy in the bunch, apparently. Not sure many other people would have handled it as well.

And let’s all be thankful there were no bystanders in that elevator with them.
