The Weather Channel and Faux Bo Pelini poked fun at Georgia's Gator Bowl loss to Nebraska
It may be Spring, but some parts of the country have still been seeing snowfall. One of those places is Lincoln, Neb., and whoever runs the infamous Faux Bo Pelini Twitter account wasn’t too thrilled about it so he directed his disgust at the responsible culprit – The Weather Channel.
It didn’t take long for whoever runs TWC’s account to fire back with a zinger while referencing the miraculous Hail Mary pass Nebraska needed to beat Northwestern.
@fauxpelini It was a last-second heave. You of all coaches can relate to that.

Faux Pelini, obviously perplexed, had no idea those “nerds” over at The Weather Channel even watched sports, but The Weather Channel, which is based in Atlanta, fired off another light-hearted jab. This time the joke was directed at Georgia, who lost to Nebraska in the Gator Bowl.
@FauxPelini Unlike a certain team down the road from us, we can keep up with Nebraska Football.

That changed things for Faux Pelini, and the two quickly warmed up to one another while TWC admitted it used to be more of a fan of Pelini’s brother Carl, the former head coach at Florida Atlantic.
@FauxPelini You're our kind of guy, Bo. We used to be all about Carl, but you're more our style now.

With things looking up for Faux Pelini, he thought he’d ask for a favor relating to a certain Big Ten rival in Ohio. The Weather Channel was not so sure about that one.
@FauxPelini We had a feeling this conversation would go there eventually. You don't want to know the answer.

The official Nebraska athletics account also got in on the fun, wondering about the rainy weather the Cornhuskers experienced in Jacksonville during The Gator Bowl. The rain didn’t hurt the Huskers, as evidenced by the 99-yard touchdown pass that helped win the game.
@Huskers @FauxPelini Look, y'all didn't HAVE to throw 99-yard TD passes. #MakinItRain

The Internet is a wonderful thing, isn't it?
