The Jeffery Simmons situation appears to be nearing a resolution.

The status of Simmons, a five-star Mississippi State signee, has been up in the air since he was arrested in March for assault. Video showed Simmons striking a woman, and Bulldogs head coach Dan Mullen hasn't said much about the ordeal.

Multiple reporters indicated Tuesday that the school will make some sort of public determination about Simmons this week. Simmons is reportedly enrolled at MSU.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh certainly knows how to keep himself in the headlines. Tuesday, he announced that he has co-written a book about his first season as Wolverines head coach.

SEC commissioner Greg Sankey addressed reporters from the league’s spring meetings in Florida and addressed a variety of topics, including satellite camps.

Michigan quarterback Alex Malzone appeared in court Tuesday on two charges: altering a driver’s license and disorderly conduct. The redshirt freshman is not expected to play a role in the Wolverines’ upcoming starting quarterback battle.

Florida head coach Jim McElwain didn’t have much to say about the status of Antonio Callaway, who led the Gators with 678 receiving yards last season. The sophomore wide receiver was suspended earlier this year.

Nick Saban revealed that SEC coaches have been discussing a potential way to bring back underclassmen who don’t get selected in the NFL Draft.

Georgia coach Kirby Smart did not provide new information about the statuses of four suspended players: Jonathan Ledbetter, Julian Rochester, Chad Clay and Juwuan Briscoe.

There hasn’t been a lot of good news around the Baylor program lately, but quarterback Jarrett Stidham provided some. The talented sophomore made it clear he will stay with the Bears.

We’ll end it with a video showcasing Keenan Reynolds’ graduation from the Naval Academy. You’ll get to see the moment Reynolds finds out he has been given the all-clear to pursue his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens while fulfilling his military obligations.
