SEC comings and goings: Aaron Murray to return to Georgia, LSU loses three linemen to NFL

The SEC race will be interesting again next season, and count Georgia as one of the prime contenders.

The Bulldogs, who came so close to knocking off Alabama in the SEC Championship Game and playing for a national title on Monday, will have quarterback Aaron Murray back for another season UGASports.com reported. Murray, who needs 1,438 yards and 20 touchdowns to set SEC career records in each category, tweeted his intentions on Sunday:

With Murray back, as well as the running back duo of Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall among others, Georgia will be among the favorites in the SEC. LSU will be a favorite too, but its road got a bit tougher with a trio of NFL defections.

ESPN.com reported that LSU will lose three defensive linemen early to the NFL Draft. Ends Barkevious Mingo and Sam Montgomery, and tackle Bennie Logan will all leave school a year early for the pros, the report said. The Tigers will have a lot of talent return, as always, but losing three linemen who all could go in the first few rounds of the draft will turn a strength of the team into a question mark going into the offseason.
