A day after USC athletic director Pat Haden was taken from campus in an ambulance due to lightheadedness, he reportedly “underwent an unspecified medical procedure” on Thursday.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Haden is “expected to remain hospitalized for another day or two.”

The 63-year-old Haden was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after feeling lightheaded when walking back to his office. Per the Times, Haden was discharged from that hospital Wednesday afternoon but was admitted to another hospital later that day “and spent the night before Thursday’s procedure.”

Haden, who has been USC’s AD since 2010, has battled health problems in the past. Health issues were the reason Haden stepped away from the College Football Playoff selection committee in October. That decision came two weeks after Haden, who uses a pacemaker, left the sideline during USC’s game at Notre Dame due to lightheadedness.

Haden announced last week that he will retire in June and transition into a role helping the school with its renovation of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
