Oklahoma already has players thinking about the College Football Playoff (photo)

With the new College Football Playoff set to begin this fall, meaningful postseason opportunities will go to just four teams instead of the 10 that used to play in BCS games.

And Oklahoma wants its players to be thinking about that in March.

The Sooners posted a video of some large men participating in a tug-of-war, and while it was wildly entertaining, what was more interesting was Oklahoma’s practice shirts, which featured the College Football Playoff logo on the back.

Oklahoma is coming off a thrilling 45-31 win over Alabama in the Sugar Bowl and finished No. 6 in the AP poll. With 16 starters returning and Trevor Knight asserting himself as the starting quarterback, the Sooners should start the season near the top of the rankings and have a good chance to earn their way into the inaugural College Football Playoff.

Oklahoma is already doing a good job of feeding off the momentum of that Alabama win and getting its players minds on the top goal for 2014.
