Notre Dame parks its equipment truck in front of recruit's house

Demetris Robertson is one of the few high-level non-committed recruits remaining with less than a week before National Signing Day, so Notre Dame decided to bring their A-game to his house Thursday morning by parking its 18-wheeler equipment bus in his neighborhood.

Robertson, a five-star receiver from Savannah, Georgia, told ESPN.com he had no idea the truck was coming and was stunned when he saw it.

“I’m still smiling,” he said. “I couldn’t believe it, I’m still shocked. I didn’t get a chance to see what was in it, because I had to hurry off to school.”

Notre Dame offensive coordinator Mike Sanford apparently accompanied the truck to Georgia and to a local Waffle House.

Robertson has offers from several Power Five schools, including Alabama, Georgia and Georgia Tech. Robertson is the No. 1 player in the state of Georgia and the No. 1 receiver nationally.

Robertson said the truck was planning to make a stop at his high school.
