Nothing says fan like a stadium-themed cake (PHOTOS)

We here at the Doc have been trying to figure out what this year's college football offseason theme will be. We've had a lot of chatter about playoffs, crossdivisional rivalries, pictures of players and coaches posing with dead animals, and today we have cakes, stadium-themed cakes.

Clayton Kelley and Lydia Crawford's wedding cake made The Oklahoman on Wednesday for its unique portrayal of the Red River Rivalry between Oklahoma and Texas.

Kelley, an Oklahoma fan, and Crawford, a Texas fan, got engaged at the Cotton Bowl following the Sooners' 55-17 dismantling of the Longhorns last year. The couple was married last weekend and had this gem of a wedding cake to commemorate their affinity for their teams.

Not to be outdone, the Northwest Arkansas Razorback Club tweeted a photo of a cake depicting Arkansas' stadium constructed by a baker/artist in Austin.

The Red River Rivalry cake is definitely more functional — it was constructed with cake balls so guests could eat without destroying the field — while the Arkansas cake is definitely more artistic with the detail of the venue.

In either case, I hope we get to see more stadium-themed cakes this offseason. It would be a good offseason replacement to last year's trick-shot videos.
