Missouri reportedly won't sign recruit who is charged with assault
Defensive end Marvin Terry was scheduled to sign with Missouri on National Signing Day. He didn't, and the Tigers are not reportedly planning on adding him to the 2016 recruiting class.
Terry is charged with assault stemming from an incident that allegedly took place on Jan. 5. He's been in the Dallas County (Texas) jail since Jan. 25.
From the Columbia Daily Tribune:
Court records show that Terry, 18, is facing felony charges of family violence assault with intent to impede breathing or circulation as well as family violence assault for at least the second time in the past 12 months. Terry is also facing misdemeanor charges of family violence assault that causes bodily injury and insufficient bond for family violence assault that causes bodily injury.

You'll notice the line "at least the second time" in the Daily Tribune quote. He allegedly shoved his pregnant girlfriend over the summer. The same woman is the alleged victim in the January incident.

He's being held on a nearly $35,000 bond. Terry is listed as a three-star defensive end by Rivals.
Missouri did not receive his letter of intent on Wednesday and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Thursday that the school is no longer recruiting Terry. Recruits can sign with schools after National Signing Day, however coaches cannot publicly make remarks about unsigned commitments. It's unclear if how aware, if at all, Missouri was of the first assault allegations. Terry verbally committed to the Tigers in December.
Mizzou isn't the only school who didn't sign a recruit Wednesday because of pending legal issues. A Michigan State recruit didn't sign with the school because he's currently facing a battery charge.
Missouri's class is ranked No. 53 by Rivals and includes 18 incoming players.
