Who knows what really happened with Manti Te'o and the sordid story of his girlfriend who didn't exist. We may never know. Any reasonable conclusion takes a suspension of logic in some way, shape or form.
No matter how it turns out, the Te'o tale of him having a fake girlfriend has very predictably brought out the comedians.
Te'o probably wants to stay away from the Internet for, probably forever. Here's a sampling of the comedy at Te'o's expense:
There's this photo delight, tweeted out by Saturday Down South:
There's an absolutely brilliant gif by @cuppycup and posted on GoodBullHunting.com that is a must watch, a spin on the ending of the movie "Usual Suspects."
We can't confirm that this is the Twitter account of former Virginia Tech quarterback Sean Glennon, but whoever it is had one of the best one liners since the scandal erupted:
#Manti wasn't missing tackles against Alabama. He was hugging his girlfriend.

There's a million Te'o one liners on Twitter. Go to your timeline and you'll stumble upon a dozen of them.
The Taiwanese animation aspect of the story came together fast:
And, of course, we had the Tumblr account open up for #Teoing, a spinoff of the Tebowing thing with people acting like they are in love with someone who isn't there. Here's an example from the Tumblr site:
Even a minor league baseball team plans to have a "Manti Te'o Girlfriend Bobblehead" night, where the first 1,000 fans will receive boxes with nothing in them.
The guffawing about Te'o is so much that NBA star Kevin Durant had to call for peace:
Aight now I think Teo went through enough, let him live and learn...y'all killin this guy smh — Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) January 17, 2013
