Kentucky coach Mark Stoops purchases $1.45 million home in Lexington

New Kentucky coach Mark Stoops hasn’t coached a game yet, but he’s settling in nicely in Lexington with a 1.45 million home.

The house, which is in the Beaumont area of Lexington, is 9,000 square feet and has five bedrooms and six-and-a half bathrooms. It includes a Jacuzzi, an elevator and a 2,499-square-foot finished basement with a theater room.

According to Kentucky.com, it is the third-highest single family home sale in the past year. Kentucky women’s basketball coach Matthew Mitchell’s $2.06 million purchase was No. 2. Kentucky men's basketball coach John Calipari bought a $2.3 million home in 2009.

And apparently, Stoops got a deal since the home was originally listed at $1.8 million.

Here’s hoping Stoops is able to perform a miracle at Kentucky and get that program winning so he and his family have a chance to enjoy that nice new home.
