Kansas State defensive back Cre Moore was arrested for DUI over the weekend.

According to the Topeka Capital-Journal, Moore was involved in a one-vehicle crash at “approximately 2:55 a.m. Sunday.” Police found the vehicle driven by Moore “had left the roadway and collided with a light pole and a privately owned stone stairwell.”

Moore, who was uninjured in the crash, was charged with driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Additionally, according to the police report, Moore was in possession of “several pills which were identified as depressants” at the time of the incident.

Moore, 20, was taken to Riley County Jail but was released from custody as of Monday morning.

Moore, a redshirt sophomore, is a backup for the Wildcats who has played in three games for the team this season. He registered his first career tackle in Saturday’s loss to Oklahoma State. He also appeared in five games in 2014.

When asked about Moore’s arrest on Monday, KSU head coach Bill Snyder said he knows how he will handle any discipline for Moore, but declined to offer specifics.

The Wildcats, who dropped to 3-1 with a 36-34 loss over the weekend, host TCU on Saturday.
