Columbia, Mo., wants to continually remind everyone it’s the first year of SEC membership

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Dr. Saturday is on location Saturday at the site of the Missouri-Georgia game, the first SEC game for the Tigers.

Columbia isn't quite SEC ready — I heard it will be for the 2013 season — but it is trying its best to accommodate the hordes of Georgia and Missouri fans that have descended upon the town. They are calling the tailgating area and all of the downtown surrounding it, Tiger Town, but if you've ever been to Columbia, it looks exactly the same as it always has.

There is one slight change, though. Nearly every store, restaurant, hotel, etc., is sporting this sticker in the window to remind people that this is, in fact, the Tigers' inaugural season. You know, just in case anyone forgot.

I will be tweeting many photos from the various tailgating and pregame ceremonies, so be sure to follow @Yahoo_Graham for all the updates from this historic (yeah, I said historic) day.

In the meantime, new Dr. Saturday writer Frank Schawb will be manning the blog and providing all the sights and sounds from the games of the day.

Happy Saturday.
