Cincinnati to wear new helmets for the Belk Bowl?

First Cincinnati got a new coach and now it’s getting new helmets.

According to Paul Lukas of Uni Watch, the Bearcats will be sporting new lids when they take on Duke in the Belk Bowl on Dec. 27.

The helmets are actually pretty sharp with a red and black checkerboard design and what appears to be Bearcat scratches down the middle of the dome. It’s a nice attempt to look menacing.

These are actually better looking than the red matte lids ESPN analyst David Pollack posted on his Twitter page a few months ago.
