Bo Pelini's interaction with the @FauxPelini Twitter account has been one of the highlights of the offseason.

Saturday, that interaction intensified after Pelini led the Cornhuskers out of the tunnel for the Nebraska spring game while holding a cat.

If you're familiar with the Twitter account, you'll see immediately why this is funny. If you're not, we'll briefly explain. But it's still funny, right?

The Faux Pelini account, one of the funniest college football parody accounts on Twitter, has had its avatar as a picture of Pelini with a cat. As Faux Pelini rose to prominence, the cat picture did too.

For a while, the real Pelini ignored the fake Pelini until January, when he jokingly asked for the cat back. Since then, Pelini's enjoyed his parody likeness and it culminated with the cat-walk on Saturday.

Planned or not, the joking has been an image renaissance of sorts for Pelini. After the leaked tape following the UCLA game and his actions against Iowa, his reputation was at its lowest since he'd arrived at Nebraska. Now? Well, we've seen a side of Pelini we hadn't seen before, and his sense of humor is pretty impressive. You can bet a lot of Nebraska fans have warmed back up to him since the season ended.
