Bemidji State hoping to raise money for player with cancer at its spring game

The Bemidji State football team was delivered some tough news when redshirt freshman offensive lineman Jake Krause was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in October. Now the football program wants to help.

In order to assist the family, all proceeds collected at BSU’s Green and White Spring Game on April 24 will go toward helping with Krause’s medical expenses and treatment.

Admission is free to the public, but donations will be accepted during the pre-game tailgate and also at the gate of Chet Anderson Stadium prior to the game.

Donations can also be sent to BSU Foundation, 1500 Birchmont Dr NE #17, Bemidji, MN 56601.

The 6-foot-3, 260-pound Krause, a native of Wadena, Minn., is undergoing chemotherapy and hopes to rejoin the team in the fall.
