Baylor gets snazzy new uniforms to go with snazzy new helmets

In late January, Baylor running backs coach Jeff Lebby tweeted out pictures of a gold chrome helmet and a black matte helmet the Bears were going to sport in 2013.

Well, not there are now uniforms to go with those domes.

First coach Art Briles tweeted out a picture of an all-black uniform that goes with the chrome helmet and then Libby tweeted out what he called an “Old School” green and gold combination and then an “Icey White” combination. And yes, he spelled “Icey” with an “e.”

Personally, I think these uniforms are the perfect complement to a team that is definitely coming up in college football notoriety. And I think it’s a perfect time to introduce them considering there’s a lot of hype surrounding Baylor football and its chance of being a major Big 12 and even national contender in 2013.

I’m a big fan of all-white uniforms, but the chrome helmet is choice. Wonder if we’ll ever see that combination?

What do you think? Is Baylor starting to look the part of a team on college football's upper echelon?
