De’Anthony Thomas’ speed destroying Kansas State in the first quarter (VIDEOS)

De'Anthony Thomas loves bowl games.

Oregon's blazing fast running back who averaged 77.5 yards per carry in last year's Rose Bowl, burned past Kansas State to return the opening kickoff of the Fiesta Bowl for a touchdown. Then the Ducks piled on by running the swinging gate formation for a 2-point conversion.

If that wasn't enough, Thomas struck again later in the first quarter for another touchdown, this time on a receiver slip screen (check out the great block from center Hroniss Grasu downfield):

Oregon's speed was a problem for Kansas State early on, but the Wildcats got on the board early in the second quarter with a Collin Klein touchdown run on third down to cut Oregon's lead to 15-7.
