Alabama wasted no time telling the college football world that it was ready to play this season.

After forcing a Virginia Tech punt, returner Christion Jones took the punt 72 yards for a touchdown.

It was exactly the start Alabama needed to assert itself as the team to beat – again – this season.

So much for Virginia Tech’s prowess on special teams. Those days are long gone.
