NCAA tournament player really just needs some Wi-Fi

Contrary to what some may believe, NCAA student-athletes are actual, you know, students – with actual schoolwork. Just ask Trae Bryant, a freshman guard at UNC Asheville.

Bryant and his teammates are in New York City for the NCAA tournament. The No. 15 seed Bulldogs have a Friday matchup with No. 2 seed Villanova at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, but even while Bryant is studying up on the Wildcats, the man has some schoolwork to do. There was one problem, however.

Bryant needs a Wi-Fi signal at the team hotel. Help a man out, NCAA!

Bryant, who averages 2.4 points in 11 minutes per contest, deleted the tweet after about an hour  only after his tweet was featured on TruTV's broadcast of Wednesday night's First Four game.

Bryant later clarified that his Wi-Fi woes had been solved and the NCAA made it known that all tournament players receive free Wi-Fi.

That wasn’t Bryant's only issue in NYC, though. The Wilmington, N.C., native apparently asked for some sweat tea with a meal and had mixed results.

It’s iced tea in the Northeast, Trae. You can add sugar to it if you’d like, but it won’t be the same.
