Dunk of the year nominee: Mason Plumlee’s fast-break alley-oop

The Dagger will chronicle the college basketball season's best dunks again this year. If you spot one we missed, let us know here or here.

In the midst of the most impressive month of Mason Plumlee's college career, the Duke senior delivered perhaps his most memorable highlight. Early in the second half of the Blue Devils' victory over Ohio State, Plumlee streaked downcourt in transition, soared high in the air and flushed home Quinn Cook's lob pass with his right hand. It was a spectacular dunk worthy of the No. 1 spot on "SportsCenter's" top plays segment on Wednesday night. Plumlee, who set Duke's all-time career dunks record later in the game, finished with 21 points and a career-high-tying 17 rebounds against the Buckeyes.
