Mad Dash: Klay Thompson's brother gets MLB promotion

It's nothing short of remarkable when a family produces a world class athlete who can play at the highest level in his sport, but what about when a father and his three sons all reach the highest professional ranks?

That's the case for the family of Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson, whose father Mychal played 13 seasons in the NBA, his brother Mychel played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and now another brother, Trayce, just got the call from the Chicago White Sox. Trayce was hitting .260 with 13 home runs at Triple-A Charlotte before getting the call, and was a second round pick out of high school in 2009.

While he didn't get into the game for the White Sox on Monday night, he'll make his big league debut during his stint, making the Thompsons one of the most ridiculously accomplished athletic families we can think of, along with the Gronkowski brothers, the Molina Brothers, and the Jones brothers. That's fantastic company, and adds to a pretty cool year for Klay, who won the NBA title with the Warriors in June.

Encountering wildlife while at a golf course should be expected, but golfers don't often have to deal with the animals interfering with their game. Daniel Popovic pulled out his camera phone in Melbourne, Australia, when a kangaroo hopped onto a practice green and started sparring with the flags. OK, we'll admit it, we wish there were kangaroos on golf courses over here.

If you're at all concerned about Braxton Miller's ability to transition from quarterback to receiver at Ohio State this year, his latest Instagram video suggests you shouldn't worry too much. The former signal-caller appears to have caught five balls in a row, held on to them, and then caught a sixth with one hand without dropping the rest. It's not the same as a linebacker crashing down on him while he tries to make a catch, but it sure seems like he's got plenty of ability for the position.
