Mad Dash: Former president and first lady caught on Kiss Cam

We'll be the first to admit that we're tired of the Kiss Cam, nauseatingly so. It's always the same jokes, tropes and staged ridiculousness, and while a number of fans still think it's funny, we generally don't. But every now and then, we have to admit it comes through in unexpected ways, like when former president George H.W. Bush and wife Barbara were spotted by the camera at Sunday's Texans game and obliged in the best way. The crowd loved it, and who could blame them? Once the 41st president realized what was going on, he was ready to go. And the smiles afterward were the icing the cake.

Speaking of the Texans, you'd be hard pressed to find an NFL fan who wasn't also a fan of J.J. Watt, regardless of their favorite team. Watt continually comes up with ways to be a man of the people, and his latest gesture is just another example. Watt bought pizzas for Houston area firefighters and police officers on Tuesday, with a nice note about appreciating their service, in part, because his father and uncle were also firefighters. He said it wasn't much, but it's more than many athletes do. Very classy move by the defensive end.

And finally, it's probably fair to say that no one on the Ohio State campus needs convincing to hate rival Michigan. It's one of the country's most famous collegiate feuds, and one where records can often be thrown out, regardless of how lopsided the match up looks. Even though few expect 5-6 Michigan to put up much of a fight against the Buckeyes, Ohio State fans aren't taking any chances, covering up every "M" they can find on the Ohio State campus with red tape as a reminder of where allegiances should remain.
