Rajon Rondo has an innovative new plan for saving his career

Four-time NBA All-Star Rajon Rondo faces a make-or-break season in 2015-16. After seeing his production dip and undergoing a shameful end to his partial season with the Dallas Mavericks, Rondo inked a one-year deal with the rudderless Sacramento Kings in the hopes of rebuilding his reputation. It remains to be seen if he manages to succeed, but it is an opportunity that he must seize at 29 years old.

OK, fine, Rondo is probably just having some fun and doesn't actually intend to use his PhunkeeDuck (or whichever brand this device happens to be) as a legitimate basketballular training tool. If anything, this is just an extension of his established love of rollerskating.

Nevertheless, it could be useful for a player who often appeared to be having no fun as a Maverick. Perhaps injecting a little bit of goofiness back into his game is exactly what Rondo needs to thrive in Sacramento.
