Michael Jordan's 'Tune Squad' uniform from 'Space Jam' is going up for auction

I've got good news and bad news, nostalgia-drenched, Internet-consuming fans of basketball and pop culture. The good news: I found the perfect Halloween costume for you. The bad news: It's going to cost you at least $10,000.

That's right: the actual "Tune Squad" uniform that Michael Jordan wore during the filming of the 1996 hit film "Space Jam" — the hybrid live-action/animation basketball comedy co-starring the Looney Tunes that, for various reasons, remains an item of reverence for many nearly two decades after its release, that still stands as the highest-grossing basketball movie ever, and that has long been the subject of sequel speculation — is going on the auction block, and you can make a bid for it. Provided, of course, you're bringing at least 10 stacks to the table.

Description:

1715. Michael Jordan uniform from Space Jam. (Warner Bros., 1996) Screen worn complete basketball uniform including (1) XL AIS brand mesh, red, white and blue-trimmed sports jersey with “Tunesquad” logo on the front and signature number “23” emblazoned on the back and (1) matching pair of size 38 shorts. Worn in the climactic showdown between Michael Jordan’s “Tunesquad” and the “Monstars”. With signs of wear and minor staining. In production used fine condition.

"Minor staining" — that's how you know it's worth upward of $10,000!

Bidding's set to begin on Oct. 1, with the final sale price expected to reach $15,000, so make sure to spend the next month getting your financial affairs in order. Personally, I'm planning to save up and keep my powder dry for when Bill Murray's No. 22 uni hits the market; we all have our favorites, and I never played much defense, either.
