The 10-man rotation, starring the return of Kenyon Martin

A look around the league and the Web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.

C: Yahoo! Sports. Our own Marc J. Spears breaks the news that the New York Knicks, fresh off clearing a roster spot in a deal pre-trade deadline deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder, have reached an agreement on a 10-day contract with power forward Kenyon Martin, a former No. 1 overall pick and 12-year veteran who split last year between the Chinese Basketball Association and the Los Angeles Clippers, but hadn't played in the NBA yet this season. He's 35 and used to play for the Denver Nuggets, so he'll fit right in with the Knicks, I guess.

PF: The Basketball Jones. Toronto Raptors play-by-play man Matt Devlin (or a certain Canadian podcaster/ex-BDL editor, anyway) takes up the pen, the pad and the mic in a diss track aimed at "local" rapper Wale.

SF: Sports Illustrated. Lee Jenkins, one of the best basketball writers alive, on why trading Kevin Garnett today would have meant the Boston Celtics forfeiting their identity. An awful lot of awesome in a pretty small package, this story is.

SG: USA TODAY. Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star responds to an ESPN Radio personality's irresponsible suggestion that racism in Indiana is the reason why the Indiana Pacers don't draw fans. Bob Kravitz is way kinder than a lot of us might be in his response.

PG: Wages of Wins Journal. Andres Alvarez thinks the Knicks made a big mistake trading Ronnie Brewer to the Thunder for a second-round pick.

6th: Truth About It. Kyle Weidie looks at what wound up being the last five shots of Jordan Crawford's career with the Washington Wizards, and how things fell apart in the nation's capital for the newest member of the Boston Celtics.

7th: St. Paul Pioneer-Press. Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Rick Adelman, like the rest of us, isn't expecting Brandon Roy to come back to the team: "If he does play, it will be a pleasant surprise." If you'll excuse me, I need a drink.

8th: Sactown Royalty. Tom Ziller offers his extended thoughts on the three-way deal that sent 2012 No. 5 pick Thomas Robinson from the Sacramento Kings to the Houston Rockets. Like our own Kelly Dwyer, Tom's, um, not a fan.

9th: PistonPowered. Dan Feldman isn't a particularly big fan of Detroit Pistons coach Lawrence Frank reinserting Brandon Knight into Wednesday night's win over the Charlotte Bobcats right after the second-year point guard sustained an injury ... especially considering, y'know, Knight quickly sustained another injury.

10th: Roundball Mining Company. Charlie Yao considers the awkward "problem relationship" that's developed between the young-and-rising Nuggets, their fans and veteran point guard Andre Miller, a 37-year-old professor who doesn't think of himself as a reserve.
