The 10-man rotation, starring Maurice Stokes

A look around the league and the web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.

C: Grantland. Bryan Curtis fantastically details the NBA’s participation in The Stokes Game, a charity event that was held at Kutsher's Hotel and Country Club in the Catskills every year to aid in paying Maurice Stokes’ hospital bills. Stokes’ post-traumatic encephalopathy was caused by a fall during a game between Stokes’ Cincinnati Royals and the Detroit Pistons in 1958, years before NBA players had a pension plan. In the picture above, Stokes is being read to by former teammate Jack Twyman, who passed away last summer.
PF: BrewHoop. Good work from Eric Buenning on the impending four-year, $44 million contract extension for Milwaukee Bucks forward Larry Sanders.
SF: Valley of the Suns. Detailing some of the press and Twitter reaction to the new Phoenix Suns jerseys.

SG: Sports Illustrated. SI’s Matt Dollinger delves into the tough task ahead that the new head coaches of eight Eastern Conference teams will have to face.
PG
: Deadspin. The shocking tale of Martin Manley, a sportswriter and statistician that helped develop the NBA efficiency stat (points + assists + rebounds, etc.) that NBA.com still uses to this day, and the suicide he explained away in great detail on his personal website.
6th
: Queen City Hoops. Charlotte Bobcats assistant coach Bob Beyer was taken into custody after an altercation at an update New York bar.
7th
: NBA.com. John Schuhmann takes on the rebuilding Philadelphia 76ers, who are purposely going to be a whole lot worse before they get much better.
8th: Reddit. Michael Beasley looks good.
9th: SB Nation. With Nikola Pekovic in tow, Tom Ziller breaks down the Minnesota Timberwolves’ roster to see if it’s “good enough.”
10th: The Smoking Section. Should Kevin Durant become the third puppet in those noted shoe company ads? Should these puppets still be scaring me, at age 33?
