Kyle Busch beat Timothy Peters by mere feet in the Truck Series race at Daytona

Busch timed his move on Timothy Peters perfectly out of turn four and into the Daytona International Speedway trioval to win the Camping World Truck Series season opening race at Daytona. After staying behind Peters for the waning laps of the race, Busch waited until almost the last possible moment to make his move and beat Peters by a few feet.
Until then, it was Peters who had done everything right in the race's final stages. He moved up to lead the high line shortly after the race's final restart and crept his way towards the lead. When he got it, he dove to the inside ahead of Busch and did his best to ensure that no one got around him, even pushing Busch as high as (cleanly) possible as the two headed to the checkered flag.
It's Busch's 36th Truck Series win, but his first at Daytona.
The race was also plagued with the customary big crash, which happened when Ross Chastain made contact with Parker Kligerman as the two entered turn one on lap 75. Kligerman's truck hooked Mason Mingus, who slammed head-on into the wall. (Mingus was checked and released from the infield care center.) 16 trucks were involved in the wreck.
