Jimmie Johnson won't miss Saturday night's race at Richmond.

Johnson will miss practice and qualifying for the final race for the Chase. Regan Smith, who drives for JR Motorsports in the Nationwide Series and subbed for Dale Earnhardt Jr. last year after Earnhardt missed two races because of a concussion.

The five-time champ had discussed the possibility of missing Richmond if Chandra went into labor, but that situation was averted with their daughter's birth before race weekend officially began. Congratulations go out to the Johnsons and older sister Genevieve.
