Danica Patrick gets the worst end of contact with Sam Hornish Jr.

Danica Patrick and Sam Hornish Jr., together again.

A month ago at Talladega, Hornish and Patrick were racing to the line when Hornish had a tire go down, sending his car into Patrick's and into the wall. After the two crossed the finish line, Patrick, annoyed by the contact, sent Hornish's car into the wall in Turn 1.

On Saturday, the two drivers found themselves racing each other for position again on Lap 132 at Dover. Hornish dove to the inside of Patrick in Turns 3 and 4 and got loose and slid up into Patrick. That contact sent Danica into Brad Sweet and the wall.

And no, this wasn't revenge for that Talladega incident. (If it was, Hornish did a really, really, really good job of disguising it.) Hornish, who was trying to charge back through the field after making contact with the spinning Timmy Hill to bring out a caution just a few laps before, saw his car get loose on the bottom groove under Patrick's, a common occurrence at Dover.

The damage to Patrick's car necessitated a trip to the garage. She finished 30th, 67 laps down. Hornish finished 13th, a lap off the pace.
