Young fan goes through range of emotions after catching home run ball

As this young Detroit Tigers fan learned Tuesday night, catching a ball at a baseball game is one of the greatest thrills you can experience as a kid. It can also be crushing when you realize your big moment also means your favorite team is likely headed for a loss.

When Oakland A's utility man Ben Zobrist launched a grand slam in the seventh inning toward JD Schilp, the young man knew he had to make the play.

Zobrist's home run landed in his outstretched glove and Schilp was overjoyed... until he saw the updated scoreboard. His Tigers were now losing 5-3 and this was very very bad.

Oh man. That's real pain right there.

Keep your head up, kid. You made a great catch and it's not your fault the Tigers can't win a game at the moment, as Tuesday's 5-3 loss to Oakland was their fifth straight defeat and their eighth in the last 10 games.
