You've never seen this before: MLB game delayed by chicken finger

Major League Baseball games have been delayed for a great number of reasons over the years, most often by weather, but also by food wrappers flying around, lights malfunctioning and even possums running onto the field.

Here's a new one, though: Thursday night's game between the San Francisco Giants and Arizona Diamondbacks was delayed by a chicken finger. Yes, a delicious chicken finger. It was dropped onto the field, near the pitcher's mound and everybody playing was baffled for a minute.

If you're never been to AT&T Park, you might not know how many seagulls the stadium attracts during the late innings of night games. Straight up, there are A LOT of them. Thursday's game was in extra innings, so that makes it even worse.

It's believed that a seagull grabbed a leftover chicken strip from the stands and dropped it while flying over the field. This might give the illusion that it occasionally rains chicken fingers at AT&T Park. Unfortunately, that is not the case. But chicken-finger rain as opposed to regular water rain would explain why California is in such a deep drought.

Wait just a second! We've just realized the most important question about all of this: Who in their right mind wouldn't finish their baseball-stadium chicken fingers?!
