A toast to the 2013 Minnesota Twins

Editor's note: We're saying goodbye to teams mathematically eliminated from the 2013 MLB season with a toast. Want to contribute? Follow @BigLeagueStew on Twitter and await our call for submissions. Next up, the Minnesota Twins.

Were the Twins not as bad as we thought this year? Or were the Chicago White Sox just worse and made the Twins look, by comparison, a smidge better? Ponder these things, Twins fans, as you go gently into the offseason.

The Twins are looking fondly to the future, with one of the best farm systems in baseball. That's what a few disappointing years get you. The Twins, at least, look like they'll be able to avoid a third-straight year in last place in the AL Central. That's worth a toast.

To the Twins, for having a franchise player who is so dedicated he actually fathered Twins. To the Twins, for giving us one of the best ball boy plays of the season. To the Twins, for Glen Perkins, he's wonderful.

We're not going to bogart this toast. Here's what the people had to say to the 2013 Twins. Add your own toast in the comments section.

ALREADY: Houston Astros, Miami Marlins, Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres

UP NEXT: The Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays and Arizona Diamondbacks have all been eliminated and their toasts are coming soon. Send yours to @BigLeagueStew on Twitter and watch the #MLBToasts hashtag.
