The Brewers have built a house for Hank the Dog — and it has a slide

Here's the latest in the continuing saga of a stray dog adopted by a pro baseball team and currently living the good life: The Milwaukee Brewers have constructed and unveiled a house for Hank the Dog, their spring training stray who has turned into a team mascot.

Observe (and note that they've been teaching Hank tricks):

One notable feature in Hank's new abode is a slide, a nod to Bernie's Slide at Miller Park. (And perhaps a harsh reminder to Bernie that there's a new furry friend in town getting all the attention.)

Hank's house will be debuted at Monday's Brewers game, the start of a six-game homestand for the most surprising team in MLB at this early juncture of the season — the Brewers are 14-5, the best mark in the league. The house will be set up beyond centerfield Monday, but it's mobile and the Brewers say they plan to move it around the stadium this season. The plan is for fans to visit Hank's house to meet and take pictures with him.

So, in other words, Hank has taken a step closer to becoming baseball's Mickey Mouse.
