San Francisco Giants fly their World Series flag, show off their trophy at home opener (Gallery)

The San Francisco Giants started the season on the road, so Friday was their day to mark their 2012 World Series win in front of their fans at AT & T Park. Before Friday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals — who San Francisco not only beat in the playoffs, but now forced to watch all the pageantry — the Giants raised their World Series flag and brought out their trophy.

Perhaps inspired by Friday's ceremony, the Giants were in championship form against the Cardinals, winning the game 1-0 behind seven shutout innings from Barry Zito. The pitching-strong Giants maintained a 0.00 ERA for their starters this season.

Baseball is back. Don't miss anything.
