Photos hint at new, brighter color scheme for Padres in 2016
After the unveiling of the 2016 All-Star game logo hinted at a potential change in the San Diego Padres color scheme, new photos have seemingly confirmed at least a temporary change for the upcoming season.

According to Tom Arzaga, a Lids employee in the San Diego area and a self-proclaimed Padres hat collector, new hats are now in stock that match the brightened color scheme included in the logo.

Call it yellow, sunshine yellow or even gold if you prefer. That's definitely a brighter look that would mark something of a throwback to Padres days gone by, when bright yellowish colors defined the team's look.
Of course, with any such revelation there's always the search for legitimacy or a flat out confirmation. The Padres are not providing any clarity after declining to comment on Friday. However, Arzaga provided some evidence that he believes proves we'll be seeing these hats on the field in 2016.

Writing for Gaslamp Ball, Arzaga explained further:
My experience along with the evidence on this cap leads me to conclude that the Padres will be wearing this cap in some capacity next year. I'm unsure if this is the home or away cap, as this was the only cap available (no such luck on brown or a new Sunday alternate....yet.)
There's also a report saying New Era screwed up in sending the hats out too early, thus spoiling an announcement prior to or at the winter meetings. .

When you add it all up, All-Star logo included, it's easy to see a change of some sort is coming.

Until the team confirms it, we're only left to speculate what this means. Most on social media seem to agree that a change is needed in San Diego. Perhaps the yellow won't lead to a brighter future on the field, but they say it'll give fans something a little nicer to look at.
Do you agree? If so, Is yellow the way to go, or would you prefer a different look all together?
