Omar Infante activates Marlins sculpture for first time, home run ball ends up with lingerie model

It took four games, but a Miami Marlins player finally conquered the vast expanse of the Marlins Park outfield on Sunday, setting the much buzzed about "home run sculpture" into action for the first time. Second baseman Omar Infante was the player who seized the honors of hitting the first Marlins home run in ballpark history, launching a pitch from Houston's J.A. Happ over the left-field fence in the second inning.

Watch the Red Grooms-designed monstrosity leap into action while the crowd roars.

As if that whole highlight couldn't scream "MIAMI!" any more, Infante's home run ball eventually landed in the hands of an internationally famous lingerie model.

Of course it did. After caroming off a facade, the ball landed in the hands of Douglas Grey, a resident of Fort Lauderdale. Being the consummate ladies man, Grey then turned the ball over to Victoria's Secret model Elsa Hosk, who was doing a television interview nearby.

But the beginning of a great romance, this sadly was not. Though the chivalrous Grey said that Hosk could keep the ball, she handed it back to him and asked him what he'd be doing with it.

They must not be big on baseball memorabilia in Sweden.
