Nationals players bring their dogs to the field for Pet Day photo shoot

On August 27, the Washington Nationals are set to celebrate Pet Day at the ballpark. While fans won't be allowed to bring their pets to the park for the contest, fans who purchase a ticket to the game will receive a team pet calendar.

The club held the photo shoot for the calendar Tuesday, and it produced some pretty wonderful images.

Adorable!

Just when you thought it couldn't get cuter than Drew Storen holding his dog in his mitt, Bryce Harper comes along and steals the show (and your heart).

It appears not all of the pets were on their best behavior.

There's a joke to be made there about the Nationals' poor performance this season, but we are too classy to do it.

Over the past couple seasons, the team has held Pups in the Park, where fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the park. Proceed from both Pups in the Park and Pet Day will benefit the Washington Humane Society.

"How is this news," one might ask. It's not. It's an excuse for us to post a picture of Bryce Harper with an adorable puppy. If you can't enjoy baseball and puppies, we don't know what to tell you.
