Marlins punish Jose Fernandez by making him dress up like Vera De Milo

Sending his first tweet since his home-run admiration set off a Wednesday night benches-clearing incident, Miami Marlins rookie pitcher Jose Fernandez opened some eyes. Not for what he said. But for what he was wearing.

It was "rookie dress up day" and maybe his Marlins teammates punished their 21-year-old Rookie of the Year candidate by making him dress up like a jazzerciser. That would get the kid around the bases quicker.

Actually, on second thought, he looks like Vera De Milo, Jim Carrey's female bodybuilder character from "In Living Color."

You're right. Jose needs to hit the gym a little before he's as buff as Vera De Milo.
