Kole Calhoun reaches into Fenway bullpen to rob three-run homer from Red Sox
Kole Calhoun went to the bullpen to give the Los Angeles Angels some much-needed relief Tuesday night — though he is neither pitcher nor manager.
Playing right field at Fenway Park in the second inning, Calhoun drifted back, jumped high, reached into the bullpen and came down on top of the fence to make a great catch, robing Brock Holt of the Boston Red Sox of a three-run home run. Aside from the grab, the best part of the video might be the reaction of the Angels players in the bullpen, jumping for joy in response. And why not? If Calhoun doesn't catch the ball, the Red Sox would have taken a four-run lead.
Instead, the Angels won 4-3 and continue to pace the Oakland Athletics in the American League West.
As reporter Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register points out, Calhoun is "charitably listed" as being 5-foot-10 inches tall. That means he leaped approximately 14 feet in the air* in order to save right-hander Jered Weaver's bacon. (*exaggeration)

Coincidentally, Weaver also was on the mound in 2012 when teammate Mike Trout made, probably, the catch of his career to rob Baltimore's J.J. Hardy of a home run:
How does Calhoun's compare?
“Kole’s saved more runs, so I’ll go with Kole, I guess,” Weaver said. “Obviously that was a difference maker in the game right there. Great play by him to stay with that. The little guy got over the little wall.”
That's because the little guy's got hops!
