The Juice: Matt Harvey becomes first four-game winner in MLB, Rockies stay undefeated at home

Harvey outduels Strasburg in marquee matchup:
On a night 26,675 fans chanted "U-S-A! U-S-A!" in unison following the capture of the Boston Marathon suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Citi Field faithful also chanted "Harvey's better" in support of their new ace, 24-year-old Matt Harvey, as he outpitched Stephen Strasburg and led the Mets to a 7-1 victory.
Harvey started the game with an electric strikeout of Denard Span on a 98 mph fastball and didn't lose much along the way as he ended up tossing seven innings of one-run ball with seven strikeouts. That was plenty good enough to become the first four-game winner in Major League Baseball.
On the flipside, Strasburg was pretty good himself, striking out six over six frames, but fell victim to the longball as Ike Davis and Lucas Duda each went yard in his final inning. Davis and Duda would also homer again in the eighth off Drew Storen, so this was certainly a breakout night for the Mets offense and an all around fun night to be at Citi Field.
Wandy, bullpen face minimum: Two days after A.J. Burnett flirted with his second career no-hitter in a win over St. Louis, Wandy Rodriguez continued the strong starting pitching for the Pittsburgh Pirates by shutting out the Atlanta Braves for seven innings in their 6-0 win.
How good was he? Even better than Burnett if you can believe it. While A.J. allowed two baserunners, Wandy only allowed one baserunner, a Jason Heyward single, and faced the minimum thanks to a spiffy double play. Reliever Mark Melacon and Vin Mazzaro also faced the minimum in relief. That's some efficient work, and against one of the hotter offenses in baseball no less.
Rockies keep on rolling: They're the biggest surprise so far in the National League and they improved to 7-0 at home (only undefeated home team left in MLB) after taking care of the Diamondbacks 3-1.
Troy Tulowitizki hit his fifth home run, a two-run shot in the fourth, and Jhoulys Chacin helped his own cause with a sacrifice fly to provide the offense. On the mound, Chacin was in cruise control for six and one-third shutout innings, but did have to leave the game after feeling stiffness in his left oblique. He'll be reevaluated on Saturday and Rockies fans will be crossing their fingers as Chacin has finally looked the part of an ace in the early going.
Feel good Friday for Angels: They haven't put it all together just yet, but the Los Angeles Angels played their most complete game of the season in an 8-1 over victory the Tigers. Tommy Hanson turned in his first scoreless outing (six innings, six hits) since June 7, 2011 with the Atlanta Braves. Peter Bourjos knocked in three runs on three hits. Mike Trout and Albert Pujols each had a pair of RBIs as Los Angeles notched their fifth win.

Dodgers vs. Orioles (Postponed/Rain): A doubleheader is scheduled for Saturday with games beginning at 1:05 p.m. and 7:05 p.m. ET respectively.
Twins vs. White Sox (Postponed/Cold): You can take the Twins out of Minnesota, but you can't stop the Minnesota weather from following them to Illinois.

• Stephen Strasburg allowed the two longest home runs of his career in his loss to the Mets. Lucas Duda's blast went 438 feet while the homer by Ike Davis was estimated at 427 feet.
• The Atlanta Braves have been shut out in each of their three losses this season.
• Chase Utley's first inning walk was Philadelphia's first since Sunday — a drought covering four full games and 135 plate appearances.
