Francisco Lindor demonstrates how you shouldn't run to first base

Francisco Lindor is one of the most exciting young players in baseball and one blooper isn't going to change that. But that one blooper, which came during Tuesday night's Cleveland Indians game, was pretty darn amusing. And, as far as bloopers goes, pretty impressive.

Lindor, batting in the fourth inning, grounded to second base off Texas Rangers starter Colby Lewis. A routine groundout took a not-so-routine turn when Lindor tripped himself with his own bat and ate dirt on the way to first base. Oof.

We're used to seeing Lindor making great plays at shortstop and getting himself dirty, but this is a new one. If you watch closely, you'll see that Lindor kicked his bat a few times, and was juggling it like a soccer ball his first few steps out of the box.

We can laugh about it now for two reasons: Because Lindor wasn't hurt and he was laughing about it too.

As an example of what Lindor is capable of at this best, he did this at shortstop later in the Indians' loss.

Like we said, one blooper doesn't change his pedigree.
