Fan retains hot dog while making barehanded catch on this home run

It takes a certain amount of courage to attempt to make a barehanded catch on a home run ball. That ball is traveling at an incredible speed, and is a hard object. There's plenty of reason to expect pain, even if you're successful.

That degree of difficulty only increases when a food item is involved. The fan either has to attempt to make the play with one hand, or abandon their $10 plate of fries in order to go for the safer two-hand option.

Considering all of those factors, the catch made by this Indians' fan during Wednesday's game is quite impressive. He not only makes the barehanded catch with one hand, but he does so with a hot dog in his other arm.

He gets a fair amount of style points here, as he doesn't seem to flinch at all during the play. It looked as if he was wearing a glove.

That wasn't the case, of course, and it's clear he was in some pain following the play. While he doesn't show it on his face, the fan does look down at his hand as if to say, "ouch, that kind of stings."

As a reward, he can enjoy his hot dog the following inning. A baseball and a hot dog, that's like two treats in one. Aside from the hand pain, that's not a bad way to enjoy a game.
