The Little League World Series is off and running in Williamsport, Pa., and we've already seen some entertaining action over the first two days of play.

That includes Friday's first-round game from the international pool featuring teams from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico that saw 22 total runs (16 in the first two innings), 27 hits, and took 3 hours, 2 minutes to complete the full six innings.

It was a really wild game full of offensive fireworks, but the highlight that stood above the rest actually came via the glove of Vancouver's center fielder Thomas Neal. After his squad reclaimed a 10-8 lead in the top of the third inning, Mexico was threatening to pull even again in the bottom half with a two-out rally. That's when Eduardo Abrego ripped a ball that seemed headed for extra bases in left-center field ... until Neal launched himself into a headlong dive, snagged the ball before it hit the ground, and incredibly held on to it after hitting the ground.

It was a a crazy athletic play and a great catch for any player at any age, and you can view it in animated gif form from several different angles over at Guyism.

Also, as noted before, it was a very important play as it kept Mexico from rallying again and allowed Canada to add on to its lead and ultimately win the game 13-9. Now it'll move into the winner's bracket to take on the team from Aguadulce, Panama, while Mexico falls to the loser's bracket to take on the first African team to quality for the World Series from Lugazi, Uganda.
