Bryce Harper to kids: ‘Be as sexy as you can!’

Let's face it: If "that's a clown question, bro" didn't grow old by its fourth hour in the public lexicon, then it definitely jumped the shark after inspiring a craft beer, a clothing line and a Senate majority leader. We Internet jackals who find sustenance in the humorous public utterings of a 19-year-old major league baseball player were in desperate need of a new line.

Luckily, Bryce Harper seems only happy to comply. While running a youth baseball clinic for the Greater Washington Urban League, the Washington Nationals rookie instructed his even younger charges to "be as sexy as you can!"

No, really, he said that. You can see it at the 1:05 mark of the video below, just before Harper described one camper ("I can't remember his name") as an "absolute stud."

Perhaps Harper will get criticism from some corners over this quote, but you're not going to find that here. Not only are we impressed that Harper brought along a $2,500 donation for the young ballplayers, but we generally start every day at the Stew by looking into the mirror before repeating the same phrase. We join Bryce Harper in advising that you do the same.
