Bruce Springsteen’s MLB postseason ad is ready to annoy you this October (Video)

Baseball's postseason is more than a month away, but the song you'll hear more than 12,000 times during October has already been announced. No, it's (sadly) not the Gangnam Style video we ran on Tuesday. It's Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's "Land of Hope and Dreams" from the new Wrecking Ball album:

I have to admit that this is a pretty smooth attempt by TBS and MLB. Enlist the one musician that the nation's ballwriters hold up as a collective god and there's virtually no chance that your merciless number of airings before and after every half inning will fall victim to Twitter's non-stop snark and/or pleas for a ceasefire. Springsteen superfans Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe and our pal Rob Iracane included! (You fellas scoff now ...)

On the bright side, the usual Stockholm Syndrome that usually kicks in by the LCS round probably isn't applicable here. Springsteen fans will most likely just take comfort in the rest of his extensive catalog after excising this tune from their list of favorites.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a Tinie Tempah Fan Club meeting to run to ...
