Bill Murray slides into home before delivering the first pitch at Wrigley Field (video)

If you were to head out into the streets of Wrigleyville on Thursday night, you'd likely find any number of Cubs fans striking a pose similar to the one that Bill Murray is showing here.

However, the actor's "fallen and I can't get up" impression actually came before the 2-1 opening day loss against the Washington Nationals and without the impairment of any alcohol (or so we guess). Charged with throwing out the season's first pitch at Wrigley Field, Murray decided to go an impromptu jog around the bases before sliding into home at Kerry Wood's urging. While it wasn't as funny as the time Bill Murray filled in for Harry Caray in 1987, it was certainly more amusing than your regular first pitch — and definitely a lot more entertaining for Cubs fans than the way the game ended.
