A fan with Dee Gordon's old cell number has a lot of congratulation texts

One of the few bright spots for the Miami Marlins this season was second baseman Dee Gordon. The 27-year-old hit .333/.359/.418, winning his first batting title.

That's the type of accomplishment that deserves some praise. Players from around the league agree with that sentiment, but many of their messages are going to the wrong person. Note: We took a screenshot of the tweet in order to block out the numbers.

Gordon must have changed his cell phone number recently, possibly after he was traded. Because of that, our buddy Joe here has been receiving plenty of texts aimed at the All-Star second baseman.

While we can't be certain, we would like to imagine Joe also received the following texts meant for Gordon. Feel free to play along and guess who may have sent them.

Text No. 1 seems like it's coming from someone worried about their job? Hmmm ...

(This just seems mean)

Text No. 2 seems vengeful, but we're willing to cut the sender some slack here.

(Is this funny?)
(Is this funny?)

Text No. 3 seems like a joke, but we're not sure any of the involved parties are laughing about it.

You know, after reading some of those, maybe it's for the best that Gordon isn't receiving all of his text messages at the moment.
